Beginner Knitting & Crochet at Wooly Monmouth

Believe it or not, at Wooly Monmouth, one session is all you need to get started!  Our beginner session for knitting or crochet is a private, 1.5 hour session and is $65.  This initial private instruction allows us to work at your pace and give you a one-on-one experience.

Beginner Knitting

During a beginner knitting class we spend about half the time learning the basics of knit and purl.  Once this is achieved, you will select and begin a project.  After this lesson, provided you purchase your materials in our shop, any kind of assistance you need as you work on your project is free of charge.  You are encouraged to come in as much as you need while you are learning.

Beginner Crochet

During a beginner crochet class, we spend about half the time learning the basic crochet stitches–Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet and Treble Crochet.  Once this is achieved, you will select and begin a project.  After this lesson, provided you purchase your materials in our shop, any kind of assistance you need as you work on your project is free of charge.  You are encouraged to come in as much as you need while you are learning.   Additional private lessons are available at $50 per hour to learn motifs and other stitches.

“Refresher” or Technique-Specific Classes

Private lessons are available at Wooly Monmouth at the rate of $50 per hour.  This is great if you need to be reaquainted with your knitting skills or just have some questions you would like answered.  Come in with your own list of questions and we’ll answer them!

Scheduling:

All private lessons are scheduled when the shop is closed so that you receive our undivided attention.  While we can work around anyone’s schedule, optimum times are anytime on Sundays and Mondays, as well as Mornings or Evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Call Dori at 732-224-9276 to schedule your lesson today!
