Join Shirley as she teaches the basics of creating crochet fabric and projects.

In this class you will:
Learn the 5 basic foundation stitches
Read crochet charts for both American and European patterns
Increase & decrease at the row edges and within the fabric
Create crochet with color
Understand how to work in the round as well as how to work square and circular motifs.

Additional pattern techniques learned include crossed stitches, puff stitches, popcorns, clusters, and shells plus how to join pieces while working as well as how to seam during finishing.

This is a comprehensive class not to be missed!
Class is 4 hours and costs $80.

Even though this class is only 2 hours, we KNOW you will leave with a brain full of information!!! This class will begin with a basic review of the lace structure. You will learn to read a lace chart and practice 3 cast-ons. You will also knit a lace pattern, a lace panel and a lace edging. The knitting practice will include both single and double-sided lace techniques.

The technique of Tunisian Crochet is a Hybrid of Crochet & Knitting, resulting in a fabric with a woven quality. Learn how to make the basic Tunisian Crochet stitches (simple/knit/purl), and expand those skills to incorporate the use of two colors and to create a variation in lace. Students must know how to chain and make a single crochet prior to attending class.
